Twist to Open

At the core of every problem, there is a perennial kernel of knowledge that you can harvest to use now and for the next time your soul needs a bit of trail mix on your journey as an artist.

Problems are oddly effervescent. They defy gravity and want to rise to the top of your consciousness where they can burst onto the scene called home base—where your ego resides. If you try to repress them, you keep them alive and bubbly as in a closed bottle of soda pop.

When you release the pressure of ego, the cap pops open, liberating the problems until they have no choice but to fizzle off into flatland according to the laws of bubbles and physics.
