If Picasso took a photograph, is that art?
It’s Picasso taking a photograph.
Of course, there is a perceived value that it is Picasso who took the picture. It’s similar to someone not wanting to cash a check that Picasso made out for some service or product because she values his signature more than the money on the check—something, I would presume, served Picasso well, even if it threw the balance off in his accounts payable ledger.
If you don’t know what is art, then who will?
