Resistance is Life

Without an organic resistance there would be no life, no creation.

Without friction, there would be no heat; there would be no you or me. This is biology and a cosmic rule. I must press up against gravity to stand, and against dogma to overcome the inertia and the density of the world in my life as an artist.

Your body must have resistance to disease, or you will succumb. It’s also crucial to resist those things that will do you harm; temptation wouldn’t exist without resistance. Do you want to be defined by resistance, or do you want to create? It’s a simple question few are willing to confront.

The beauty of intent is that it is entirely up to you.  And, that is the rub.
