Coming Full Circle
The other day, I ran into an acquaintance in Starbucks. I’ll call him Fred. He’s a clear thinker who had suffered much in his life.
Sometime ago, another acquaintance called Herman had told me that Fred had been very rude to him, and that he had put him down. I listened, offered some general advice and then let it go.
Now, about a year later, Fred who is a reliable witness brought up Herman. Fred didn’t know that Herman had already told me about the conflict.
Fred now told me about the irritating encounter with Herman from his point of view.
The objective truth came out like cream rising to the top in the stillness of awareness. Herman had been the ill-mannered one, not Fred who is a straight shooter.
