Beauty, Not Glamor
Today, I listened to a rebroadcast of an interview (The Inner Landscape of Beauty) with the late John O’Donohue on Speaking of Faith with Krista Tippett. You can listen to the interview online or download the podcast.
Poet and philosopher, John spoke of the importance of finding your work (dharma) and how it not only enlivens you, but all around you. He also reflected on the purpose of art, and how it reminds us of that invisible world of soul, intuition, and purpose. He also defined the responsibility of beauty, which is not glamor.
John is the author of several books; Anam Cara, a book well-suited for all true artists, brings much of his valuable introspection into great clarity. I quote John several times in An Artist Empowered.
Thank you for this link to John O’Donohue. He was (is) a remarkable soul.
I’ve already forwarded the radio link to my friends.
